I’ve listened to 5 or so episodes now, and it’s hard a real effect on me. It’s opened my eyes top aspects of myself I wasn’t as aware of.

An outstanding podcast that introduces psychoanalytic concepts and modes of thinking to wider audiences without sacrifices rigor or precision. The essays are thoughtfully organized around big topics - either in psychoanalysis or culture generally - and meticulously prepared for listening...Read full review »

Amazing podcast covering a wide range of subjects in depth but in easy to understand language. A must listen for anybody studying or practicing psychodynamic counselling!

It is incredibly calming and puts me to sleep so quickly. More tranquil than any other podcast I’ve found, even when covering topics talking like malignant narcissism and violence. I do enjoy it aside from its sleep-inducing quality, so I re-listen to episodes during the day sometimes. Please...Read full review »

This podcast is definitely one of the best on the net. The material covered is theoretically informed and the clinical examples are indeed practical. The language (both the German and the English version) is easy to relate to and understand, but far from simplistic. The diversity of the...Read full review »

I play it at 2x for it to sound normal. Three seconds pauses after every sentence does not make what your saying sound profound.

I am a psychiatry resident. I am trying to improve my psychotherapy skills. The title seemed intriguing enough, but after 4 episodes, I had to stop because there are no useful theoretical or clinical informations that were being said in the podcast. The itty bitty that was being said were...Read full review »

This is kind of an unusual podcast format in 2021. It’s not chatty, jokey, or encouraging of parasocial attachments. It consists of well-written, informative and well-read essays/lectures on key topics in psychoanalysis. It’s not dry, but it is... sophisticated, I guess is the word that comes to...Read full review »
