Florida State was offered a do-over in their lawsuit against the ACC in Florida. Judge Cooper ordered FSU to amend their complaint, giving them a major opportunity to revise or even expand their arguments in their quest to break away from the ACC’s Grant of Rights.

Ashley Moody, the Attorney General in Florida, is considering backing up Florida State University in their fight with the ACC over the Grant of Rights. The specific issue that has caused Moody to act is “sovereign immunity” and whether FSU, as a state institution, can be sued.
