The Colorado Avalanche did pretty much everything the same as Game 1 against the Winnipeg Jets, but added much better goaltending to the equation, and the result was a convincing 5-2 win over the Jets. The series now heads back to Colorado tied up at 1. The Avs used four 2nd period goals, then lock down defense in the 3rd that prevented any Winnipeg comeback attempt.
