“Ben Kaspick is not flashy but he is quite solid. His podcasts are informed and informative. He provides a good mix of daily coverage, analytics, and common sense analysis. Although some may find him overly supportive of management, I do not. Kaspick is right that to date, Zaidi has been consistently right. I have no doubt Kaspick would be critical of the old management. Indeed, he frequently criticized Bruce Bochy, while also remaining rightfully respectful of Bochy's great contributions to the Giants. Occasionally Kaspic treads into political and social questions, which I find highly obnoxious and out of place, especially since his comments are superficial and NOT well-informed, in this case. But he does not do this often and, indeed, he is not nearly as bad as the Giants' management itself in this respect. Overall, Kaspick fully deserves the 5-star rating. As one who spent a good bit of my child in the Polo Grounds and who remembers well when Willie Mays was called up to the Giants, but who is now stuck in Los Angeles (I teach at UCLA), I very much appreciate this way of staying in touch with and learning a good bit about the team from whose support I have never wavered.”Read full review »
