Used to be good. Now it's way too self-indulgent.
I loved listening to DL back when he did sharp analysis of the NBA in general, but with this podcast format, he's run amok with stats / numbers / data that gets mind-numbing real fast. It's particularly bad when he's describing action using video; if you're listening to him ramble on audio-only, one feels left out and it is stone dull. The "Jazz Game Rewind" segments are better, featuring actual play-by-play Jazz game audio (but the interns(?) who present them can sound robotic). DL's opinions on the NBA = excellent. Wish he'd spend more time talking about the league, player moves / trades / incidents. The rest, unfortunately, is a self-indulgent spew of minutiae and uninteresting microdetail best left to the team's analytics department.Read full review »

He has gotten worse as time goes on. He rambles and explains the same things over and over again.
