Description
The Toronto Maple Leafs got some important work done early in free agency as the blue line became a big priority for Brad Treliving. Mike DiStefano and David Morassutti look at why the Chris Tanev signing was worth the price the team paid, especially the immediate value he provides to the areas the Leafs need to bolster. They move on to the Oliver Ekman-Larsson signing, looking at what role they expect him to play, whether it was the right price to pay for him, and they also look at the new hulking addition to the backend in Jani Hakanpää and address the injury concern with the signing. To end the show, Mike and Dave look at the Joseph Woll and Anthony Stolarz deals, why the team went this route with the goaltending and the upside to their approach.
