The Red Sox opened up a 6-game road trip after the All-Star break with the first of 3 against the Dodgers Friday night at Dodger Stadium and lost a 4-1 decision.  The Red Sox led 1-0 going to the bottom of the 8th inning, but Freddie Freeman gave LA its first lead, hitting a grand slam off reiever Brennan Bernardino.  Nick Pivetta turned in a strong performance, and exited with a 1-0 lead, but he ended up with a no-decision.  Pivetta gave up just 2 hits in tossing 6 innings of shutout baseball.  He walked only 1 and struck out 8, including Shohei Ohtani 3 times.
