The Red Sox dropped their 4th straight game with a disappointing 9-8, 12-inning loss the Colorado Rockies Monday night at Coors Field. Ezequiel Tovar knocked in the winning run in the bottom of the 12th with a bases loaded single off of Chase Anderson. The Rockies scored 2 runs in the 12th after the Red Sox took the lead in the top of the inning on a 2-out RBI single off the bat of Wilyer Abreu.  The Sox are 0-4 on their current road trip.

The Red Sox were swept in a 3-game series in Los Angels by the Dodgers after losing the finale, 9-6, on Sunday night. It's the 3rd time this season where the Sox have been swept in a series and the second time on the road. The Red Sox got another strong pitching performance from Kutter Crawford and Dominic Smith collected 2 hits and a pair of RBIs in helping the Red Sox to a 5-0 win over the Kansas City Royals at Fenway Park Saturday afternoon.  With the win, the Sox even the series up at 1-1 and will go for the series in the final game before the All-Star Break on Sunday.
