“I am beyond grateful that I have found Jennie Allen’s podcast. My small group shared this podcast on our group thread a year ago - and I admit I ignored it for awhile - until they convinced me to listen to it.
Between Stuck, Get Out of Your Head, & If Gathering God has worked through each series to break through so many chains in my life. I had no idea these chains were even there. After a childhood of abuse that I had buried deep, I had learned to turn off my emotions and stay isolated with my thoughts, which kept me spiraling in ways I didn’t understand. I had no idea I was even being impacted by my past and wasn’t aware of my actions or harmful thoughts. I was far from believing I was a worthy child of God.
Talking through the emotions, learning I have a choice, recognizing the power in thoughts, and constantly allowing the powerful scripture this podcast speaks over us has been life changing. I’m 100% a different person than I was a year ago. These past 9 months have been the hardest of my life with my world “falling apart” in ways I didn’t think possible, and yet I’ve never been more free and joyful than I am now. I thank God every day.
Thank you, Jennie, team, and guests, for pointing me to Christ in a way I didn’t know that I needed. It was no accident God gave me your podcast and devotional and I am forever grateful and inspired by your faithfulness and wisdom.
