Worth a listen
Sam is funny, warm, and so spot on about the steps we all need to take to improve our lives and mindset. I love that there’s a mixture of advice and action steps to take to pursue your highest self. I do have a few criticisms though. For one, sometimes the intros are WAY too long before finally getting into the episodes. I get that the host runs a business and I’ve purchased several of her wonderful programs, but twenty minutes of advertising is overkill. Two, Sam sometimes gets a little preachy about being your most authentic self, to the point of judging and comparing what she’s doing vs other coaches, yet still tip toes around what she actually wants to say when it comes to certain topics. I get it in the age of cancellation, however it feels ironic and disingenuous that she encourages others to be polarizing and contrarian, but wont get into her own beliefs on controversial topics, clearly for fear of losing customers. Also the “breadwinner” post on Instagram which very clearly seemed like a dig at Mikayla J’s program that launched just recently felt petty and immature to me. Last, some of the guests are not it. I would like to see Sam reign them in a bit more and challenge some of the “facts” presented by her speakers. The Monica Yates episode was brutal to listen to because the guest stated a lot of controversial things re: “feminism” but had no statistics/ measurable numbers/sources to back up her problematic claims. It was a bit reckless and irresponsible to allow her to continue going on without checking her on any of the information presented (which Sam claims to be a big proponent of). Overall though, it is a great podcast that I have learned a lot from. Thank you Sam for your fresh perspectives. It is very obvious you are a kind person who strives to help people.

I look forward to Wednesday’s, and hopefully a second day...Read full review »
