Honestly
Funny how riled up Mia gets about Trump and American politics but completely ignores the political storms in Australia. Fatima Payman resigning from the Labour Party was a HUGE story, particularly considering she’s a woman and a refugee and you’re supposedly a woman’s media company, remember that? But to speak on that story would lead to mentioning Israeli war crimes and god forbid Mia brings any unwanted attention to her beloved and now legally deemed apartheid genocidal homeland. But this is what women are talking about. The world is on fire with injustice and under any other circumstances, mamamia would be all over it like a bad rash. But when it comes to Israel, they’d rather act like all women care about about is frivolous things and maybe they’ll chuck in some US politics to look like they care without really having any meaningful discussion. It’s revolting. 8 months. That’s how long mammamia spent buying time and hoping they could ignore an entire genocide and it would just blow over. And in that time, Mia labeled protesters as menacing and uninformed. Quoted the lie about beheaded babies. Centred herself in any conversation about Palestine, dehumanising a people living under one of the worst bombardments of modern times. While we watched babies be bombed daily for 8 months, Mia would quiver at any mention of Gaza. It’s okay Mia, even though you don’t see them as people, you will not combust if you say Palestinians. Practice it in the mirror. You censored and silenced your audience, blocking people and removing them from groups and deleting their comments. Do you think you can make a post or two now and speak about it empathetically ONE time and all your listeners will come back? Think again. The damage is done. This is a company run by heartless ghouls and I know many people who will never listen to you again. We reject Zionism and all of its ills. I suggest for your own sakes, you do the same.

More reviews of Mamamia Out Loud
A brilliant way to get educated about current affairs, politics and the stories hitting the main headlines - with a great dose of laughter. One of my favourite podcasts.
