Manga Mavericks EP. 209: Our Colors
Listen now
Description
On this episode of Manga Mavericks, Colton & Lum discuss Gengoroh Tagame's Our Colors with translator of the book, Anne Ishii! Our Colors is Tagame's newest all ages comic about a high schooler named Sora Itoda, who struggles with being himself around most of his family and friends because he hasn't worked up the courage to come out yet. That is, until he meets, Mr. Amamiya, the owner of a hidden local café and the first real gay person Sora becomes friends with who inspires him little by little to start living as his true self (but little does Sora know, he may end up doing the same for Mr. Amamiya as well). The Mavericks discuss with Anne about her time translating the series, as well as why it may be even better then Tagame's previous all ages work, My Brother's Husband! Enjoy!
