Really enjoy the contrasting views of the hosts on how/why people are outed, and always enjoy hearing the excuses given by those cheaters for why their times and placing a should be believed

Love Derek. Scott is annoying with his soap box stance. He says he would rather let someone defraud hundreds of people than publicly shame them. I don’t believe him. He is just being the devil’s advocate for the sake of doing it. Feels fake and forced. Be real!!!! Or just let Derek talk...Read full review »

This podcast combines my love for running with my love of investigating/ all things criminal justice. It grabs my attention from the start and holds it all the way through!

Interesting and much needed for those of us who think cheating at races is for losers and want to see them go away.

As an RD for a small town marathon as well as 70x marathoner, your website & podcast is educational. I’m learning a lot about ways people can cheat and how to prepare and plan as best as possible. Thanks! -Ev

This is an excellent podcast that touches on something most runners don't think about and would never consider - cheating! I especially liked the Kelly Agnew episode (and who doesn't love Bart Yasso!!). Keep up the great work Derek! I also love that you stay balanced by having Scotty...Read full review »

As someone who refuses to use any race swag if I dnf, the stories on the podcast leave me wonderfully incredulous!! A fascinating listen.

I appreciate how Derek and crew spend time discussing the process and ethics of running, in addition to getting excellent guest speakers on board. Keep it up - it’s getting better with each episode!

This podcast is not nearly as good as I hoped. I enjoy reading the articles Derek writes so had high hopes. This, though, falls way short. First, it feels like an extension of 10 Junk Miles (which is a GREAT podcast) rather than Derek's vision. Scott does most of the talking and leading of...Read full review »

The episode with Anita’s boyfriend is pure gold 😂 Looking forward to many more investigations ❤️❤️❤️ Thank you!

This podcast is really interesting, and explores an often ignored part of running culture - who cheats and why. At times, it is like listening to a procedural drama and at others a bit of a comedy. The only thing missing is Siva

Investigator needs to slow down speaking tempo and stop gasping for air the whole time. It’s like super distracting. Content is meh, good guests but it’s rehashing the same stuff over and over with different guests. Have investigator dig into the details of race cheating and let Scot K. dive...Read full review »

Audio gets better with later episodes as does the content. Doing a Podcast is scary and a huge learning curve for sure and it appears that it's improving a ton from episode to episode. It's interesting to see 2 people who disagree but agree with that and respect each others views and...Read full review »

Stay away from interviewing idiots (Episode 3: 2 minutes of fun wrapped in 40 minutes of stupid) and stick to informative discussions with the likes of the owner of Sporstats and Bart Yasso. Hopefully this is indicative of a solid future.

I love Marathon Investigation and I’m enjoying the podcast so far. Derek is really hard to hear sometimes. Maybe look into different options for his audio.

WOW! Fantastic podcast. It’s interesting hearing two people with opposing opinions on cheating. They both make great arguments and oddly I am on both sides. Give it a listen to hear something new and exhilarating.
