“Years ago I was a huge fan of Ben McConnell and Jackie Huba's Church of the Customer podcast. Ben and Jackie put a lot of time into this short-lived podcast, and it really came across in the quality of the episodes and the level of content. Most podcasts I've listened to since are quite honestly, not very good. Typically they include guests and the host either barely knows the guest and their accomplishments, which wastes the guest's time as well as the listener's time.
Then there's Kerry O'Shea Gorgone, the host of the Marketing Smarts Podcast from MarketingProfs. Kerry does something that many podcasters rarely do, she actually RESEARCHES her guests and asks INTELLIGENT questions! Being prepared is SUCH a lost art from podcasters, but Kerry always does her homework, and it raises the level of the podcast measureably so. She is a complete professional with a flawless delivery, she puts the spotlight on the guest and knows just what questions to ask the guest. Again, she does her homework.
