Talk about living authors as well
It is embarrassing. Just talk about *all* the books. These two are a great pair with natural chemistry and a deep love and knowledge of literature. They speak of books with the erudition, humor, and love that you hope you can convey to your own friends. But! The ridiculous artificiality of only talking about dead authors means they wind up circling the same authors and topics time and again, and frequently self-censoring when they clearly want to speak about a contemporary author. So embarrassing. Just talk about literature in general like the professionals you are. This would be an easy 5-Star Must Listen podcast for lovers of literature, if it wasn’t for their self-censoring.

My only note is I find myself wanting more. I could easily listen to a 2 or 3 hour long episode about specific...Read full review »
