Great podcast
I’ve seen other reviews saying how there are other podcasts that cover narcissistic abuse better and I’m sure that might be right but this podcast is great for recognizing less clinical patterns of behavior. You read all the signs and symptoms online but they don’t always match up and they’re the best pretenders you’ll ever meet so a real life story not just symptoms to watch out for paint a much clearer picture of what it’s like to encounter one of these sad people. After months of speculation that my EX fiancé was a narcissist I ended the relationship and left them before the mask could truly slip. I started seeing the cracks in the mask forming and knew something wasn’t right even though they were still a loving and doting partner and didn’t show me the monster hidden away I started to realize it was there and I knew had to leave before they showed me. Even though I knew it was the best choice I could make for my life, my sanity, and my overall mental and physical health I was left seriously doubting whether or not the problem was indeed NPD but after listening to this podcast I was able to confirm it was. I realized the little things I never paid attention to were the biggest red flags and indications that something was wrong. The part about him not really having a a career and chasing a dead dream was all too familiar for me..mine was a perpetual student who bounced from one degree to the other! While completing what was supposed to be their last” degree they told me they wanted to look into something completely different and was thinking about going back to school after completing their masters not that I’m against wanting to further your education but after listening to the podcast I realized it wasn’t just something that semi bothered me it was a RED FLAG, bouncing from job to job because they were bored was a RED FLAG. Is it the most professionally made podcast? No it’s not but it’s not meant to be that, it’s meant for this woman to tell her story to help other women from falling prey to a narcissist. It’s purpose is for anyone to listen to recognize the signs and all the subtle ways they play out in real life. Excellent work Karla and thank you for telling your story and helping me confirm my intuition was correct which has helped me remain strong in my decision to leave my narcissist behind!!!!

More reviews of Married to a sociopathic narcissist My story
Where I totally feel for the person in the podcast, this is an impossible story to follow. There is no chronology, just rambling and anecdotes about her relationship w her sociopath/narcissist. I’m very interested in these stories, but after trying several episodes and trying to skip around I...Read full review »

You are spot on about the narc. Mine always tells me he's not my enemy and he's on my side and blah blah blah. I've been with mine 21 years, currently planning my escape. He's sucked my soul dry and I just can't do it anymore.Read full review »

I was so excited when I saw this new podcast but, truthfully, was expecting to be a bit disappointed. I was, however, pleasantly surprised. My story is eerily similar to the one Karla shares with her listeners, having been in an 18 year long intimate relationship with a person who closely...Read full review »
