Since the narcissist doesn’t recognize they have a problem and they don’t need help - we do… they rarely end up exploring how they are wired, so they are rarely diagnosed. I am THIRTY TWO years in and I am FINALLY getting the answers I scratched my head about early on. I often thought to myself “Bait and switch.” I met one person… and he became another one entirely. If these behaviors would have been revealed earlier… but now I know they were… little slips here and there that I was able to overlook or explain away. Then so many contradictory statements - initially during disagreements and later with explosive behaviors. The inconsistencies and eventually the gaslighting. EVERYTHING is finally making sense. Your podcast helped me connect the dots that have been right there in front of me all the time. Now, I’m beginning able to finally get control of my life.”
