These do not come out fast enough !!!! (Also, small “note”: as they are posted three at a time, they are posted newest first when it should be oldest first because sometimes one episode builds on the last)

Rob Long gives terrific insight into what goes on behind the scenes in TV and Hollywood — and does so with real insight into human nature. I always light up when a new episode pops up in my feed.

Hey everyone it’s TV’s Rob Long! (Credit to Jonah). Rob’s views, sense of humor and delivery are complete aces. He raises the bar significantly on any broadcast/podcast on which he appears. Sincerely Yours, Angry Villager with Torch

Short, brief and VERY well written and spoken episodes. Rob is an interesting Hollywood insider, but his insights apply to business & life. Would love to hang Rob on a regular basis.

This is my chance to OD on Rob Long. I can’t get enough of his wit.

Five stars to you because I'm so pleased with myself for figuring out which actor couldn't play the piano (I Guareantee I'm right).Read full review »

I’ve been a fan of Mr. Long’s work for some time now. He’ll transport you into the room or make you feel like your’re at the same table in his conversations. I hope his podcasts keep playing even after he stops making them - kinda like Car Talk (which still in 2019, I continue to listen to).
rampitup84 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 04/11/19
Im not leaving a review, but if it was a review it would be something like this ... Rob Long’s humorous insights on the “industry” were shared in his two brilliant and funny books - before the “sharing” and “streaming” of “content” took over the “business.” These podcasts are wonderful...Read full review »

Martini Shot is an insider’s wit and wisdom about the film industry but often its a lot more than that; It’s sometimes parables for life.
Schleimerlaw via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/20/19
Rob Long is a genius storyteller. All you need is 4 minutes and you are hooked. I was. I’m a loyal listener of the GLoP and just found out about this at the end of the podcast. I can’t believe I didn’t know about it before today! The “Jay” episode is everything! Heart you Rob Long!
@threemennalady via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 02/13/19
I'm always thrilled to see a new Martini Shot come up on my podcast feed. I immediately move it to Next Up to listen to it. "Jay" has to be my new favorite. I lost my father in late 2017 and it sent me all the way back to my childhood like Ego in the scene in Ratatouille. Thanks for...Read full review »

Long gives an insider’s insight on entertainment production in quick bursts. Plus, played at 1.5 speed, he sounds like Alton Brown in “Good Eats”.

Rob Long is insightful and funny and entertaining. I love his podcast. Snippets into the life of a Hollywood Writer.

I've been listening to Martini Shot for nine years now as a podcast. I love Rob's personal, witty, sarcastic take on life in Hollywood!

Rob Long provides a funny, but realistic, bite of life as a writer/show runner in the entertainment industry. It's something I look forward to listening to every week. And that's what I've got to say about that!

This show is so clever, and it never fails to make me laugh.

I am not in "the industry", and watch very little TV, but I am impressed by how many aspects, and topics this guy comes up with; and he does it all in 3 mins., with great aplomb and delivery.
Pinny via · 10/13/13
It's one of those podcasts that I'm very happy to find the latest episode has come out and it in my shuffle for me to enjoy. I look forward to it every week. Love these. But the only way to hear the older ones from 2004-2006 is to click on them one by one, each time waiting for various stages of download (on KCRW). Because they're short, it's impractical and pretty much takes the enjoyment out. Any chance that the archives can be put into an...Read full review »

Witty and well observed. I have little to do with the entertainment biz, but I see the same problems of administrators and money-men trying to advise creatives, and creatives being impossible to manage and the trite little "kabuki" moments that is much workplace interaction. It was...Read full review »
