Darren White a native of New York spent the majority of the first 30 years of his working life in a variety of military, law enforcement and high-level public service roles including being named Cabinet Secretary in 1995 of the Department of Public Safety, making him the states Drug Czar. Drug czar is an informal name for the person who directs drug-control policies in various areas. He was also Two-term Bernalillo County sheriff & City of Albuquerque public safety director.
