“If you’re writing a story about ‘Old Man’ Star-Lord, or Rocket, it would be nice if they didn’t act like 14 year old teenagers whining and yelling. Why do they need to be the exact same personalities? I’m 57 and if I talked like I did when I was in high school, it would be cause for concern. So, Rocket and Quill’s relationship hasn’t deepened in 50 years? Seriously?
Most of the premise is good but it’s hard for a long term fan to fully enjoy it when it’s just a rehash of the exact same material. Same reason the new Star Wars trilogy is so tiring.
I wish writers and producers would embrace personal growth and avoid the obvious cliches.”
