Well-crafted weird short-short fiction.
I've been a follower of Eldritch Stories since the beginning (all 11 episodes back!). This podcast isn't like others, because it's a combination of both unpublished (I think) fiction by professional writers and their personal musings. The two in combination draw an image of, via the Eldritch Stories, a weird, sometimes unsettling performance onstage, then via the Eldritch Extras, the casual conversation of the theatre owners in the wings. It's fun, and it reminds one to keep one's back to the wall. Just in case. I enjoy the short format of the tales because I can give them my deep attention without a long time commitment; I enjoy the lighter tone of the Eldritch Extras because sometimes it's nice to simply listen to a couple of friends talk about things you're interested in, too. Wonderful tales. Each one is like a fragment of a dream. The horror is created from talking around the unknown without ever resolving it.
