“First, each episode would benefit from a focus on a particular issue or question. Most episodes have no real focus and just meander from one unrelated question to another until an hour and twenty minutes have passed. Second, Barry evidently wasn’t chosen for his interviewing ability. He doesn’t have a ‘radio voice’, so the episodes aren’t pleasing to the ears. Plus he often relies on the jarring, ridiculous reply of “Huh, interesting” to guest answers before completely changing topics (instead of probing to dig deeper). It could be so much greater than it is, which is the real disappointment when listening.”
