Some brilliant and insightful interviews eg Damodaran but a few lack substance
Impoxtssibxo via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 02/28/24
Sometimes extremely insightful conversations. Sometimes he and his guests go far to deep into rabbit holes on topics of little interest to listeners (I.e. people’s personal history). Host MUST STOP SAYING “THAT’S INTERESTING” EVERY TIME THE GUEST MAKES A STATEMENT!

I love Barry’s take. Really interesting.

The amount you’ll learn from listening actively will surprise you. Thank you! :)

Went to listen to my first episode but it’s a paid episode! Yes, fees do a matter in a time of financial difficulties for many Americans!

Please stop saying “huh, hmm, that’s interesting” after every response. Ur killing me!

Great guests, great questions.

Too political.

I tried this podcast and made it through an episode and a half. The host comes across as a know it all and constantly interrupts. The worst was listening to Bethany McLean start desperately trying to talk over him, raise her voice, and talk faster to try to make her points. It’s clearly more than...Read full review »

Barry, for the love of God, after you ask one of your usually very insightful and thought-provoking questions, please shut up and let the guest answer the question. For reference, please re-listen to the Michael Lewis interview. He is about to answer very interesting questions with very...Read full review »

The host talks more than the guest. Very annoying.Poor Michael Lewis. Always interrupted.
Bad Advuse via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 10/10/23
What could have been a very good interview was greatly diminished by the host’s lack of interviewing skills. We never did get to hear Lewis’s comparison of SBF with Michael Milken.

The guests are interesting but continuously cut off

Barry’s interviews with all his guests are extra special. From the questions he asks to the banter, he is able to have his guests explain the challenges, problems and issues facing their industry. Thank you research department. All his interviews are fascinating!

Great guests but host talks too much.

Very high-quality guest roster. I have particularly enjoyed the female guests (just finished Ilana Weinstein). These are the best of the best business minds and it's educational to hear how eloquently they are able to express complex ideas. Sure, Barry is a bit self-assured, but I like him...Read full review »

Why have a guest if you constantly interrupt? Let Gretchen Morrison talk about her book her experience from before you were born

Love the guests Barry has and the topics.

All guests have such amazing stories to tell and Barry Rihltotz’s curiosity really comes through in the podcast!

Great episode with Ken Kencel on Private Capital.

Hard pass couldn’t even finish the episode
slayallday84 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/24/23
First, each episode would benefit from a focus on a particular issue or question. Most episodes have no real focus and just meander from one unrelated question to another until an hour and twenty minutes have passed. Second, Barry evidently wasn’t chosen for his interviewing ability. He doesn’t...Read full review »

Can you bring Jerry Parker on the show?

This is a pretty good podcast. Lots of interesting guests, lots of interesting topics. Host has a tendency to talk over the top of his guests though.

Excellent and very interesting

Loud awful ads out of nowhere. 5 minutes of ads for every 10 minutes of content interspersed throughout.
TenderWolf via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 11/08/22
Show gets some greats guests, super interesting topics, but cannot stand Barry. That guy is rude and pompous. He interrupts almost every single guests to interject with his own thoughts and opinions. I don’t care what Barry thinks and I hate how he’s always trying to finding other people’s...Read full review »

Barry please stop interrupting the guests… this used to be one of my favorite podcasts however the constant interrupting / lack of thought provoking questions has made even having the best guests hard to listen to.

A Democratic Party podcast, unfortunately a little too biased and one dimensional. Despite that , some interesting content for sure .

Ads are out of hand everywhere. The upside is that i have gone back to listening to more music and less podcasts. Music is better for the soul anyway.

Way too many ads.

…Barry to stop talking over his guests. Listening to the recent Automotive conversation was painful and I had to turn it off halfway through, as it turned into Hannah Elliot interviewing HIM about his six (now 5!!) cars. I don’t want to throw out the gender card, but.

A previous commenter pointed it out and now I’m amazed at how often this phrase is uttered. Anyone else think it’s weird Barry spends 3-4 mins introducing the podcast guess twice every episode?
BBG_Phd via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/17/22
This is a brilliant show, the one which got me hooked to podcasts. After hearing 300+ episodes so far, Now I feel it’s ruined with so much random advertising hitting on between.
Ramji_Porwal via Apple Podcasts · Singapore · 06/12/22
Once upon a time this was a 5-star podcast, but the frequency of mid-pod ads is shocking and unparalleled
zkimball1245 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 06/11/22
I’ve been a fan for a long time. This is probably the first podcast I’ve subscribed to over the years. However, most of the podcasts are getting longer with either too many commercials or too much fluff. The number of commercials interrupting interesting conversations is getting irritating. ...Read full review »

Love this podcast and the guests they bring. But the ads are annoying and each episode has 5 segments of unannounced, loud ads. Also the sound engineering is poor - breathing and the noise level varies throughout the episode.
