Special guest podcaster Sidney Delorean returns once again to the McWiseguys lair! This time we're taking a good, hard look at Pamela Anderson's chest - I mean film debut! - Barb Wire. The Hulu series "Pam and Tommy" has sparked renewed interest in this cinematic gem and we felt it was our civic duty to give it our all. And we gave it...long and hard. Lotta chafing. Lotta leather-on-bare-skin-induced rashes. All for you, dear listener. You're welcome! Call us brave, if you like. Call us...

If you listened to podcasts anytime in the late 70's or early 80's, there's a 95% chance that you're a time traveler! But if you snorted coke during that same time period, there's a 100% chance you own a Hawaiian shirt and dad jeans today. Congratulations my friend! And please do enjoy Kevin and Scott's review of the 2001 Johnny Depp drug smuggling biopic that is "Blow", directed by Ted Demme and based on the real life story of "Boston" George Jung. The Panamanian government may have taken...

The McWiseguys are back, mothafucka! After a long hiatus, your favorite guinea wop micks have returned to the internets to bring you all the rambling, misquoted, historically inaccurate film reviews you've come to love! Today, we sit down to discuss "The Many Saints of Newark: A Soprano's Story". This film as it all! Overbearing Italian mothers, oversexed Italian fathers, overly ambitious Italian girlfriends, and of course, a whole lotta GABAGOOL!!! We know you've been waiting for it. Craving...

Today, IN THIS COUNTRY, Kevin and Scott review The Departed. Which will certainly not add inches to any body part, male or female. In fact, studies show that listening to us rant will undoubtedly shorten your life by at least 5 years. We're like smoking, oh so bad, but you just can't quit us. You wish you could quit us, don't you? Wait, that's a whole different movie....

Kevin and Scott continue their journey into Francis Ford Coppola's tale of Italian immigrants who come to America to become highly successful banana daiquiri salesmen. We're smart! Not like everyone says - that we're dumb. We're smart! And we want respect! And more daiquiris!

Kevin and Scott sit down with a Very Special Guest to tackle Francis Ford Coppola's second take on the Family Corleone, The Godfather, part 2. Released in 1974 to surprisingly tepid reviews, it has come to be viewed as (perhaps?) the best of the trilogy, and certainly one of the greatest Mafia films OF ALL TIME. This film is so epic we had to break it up into two parts, so sit back, relax, eat an orange and pour yourself a Cuba Libre, because it's gonna be a nice long journey. 90 miles long,...

Here at McWiseguys, we consume a wide variety of cinematic, and culinary, delights! For instance, we love some veal and peppers, some linguine and tomato sauce (don't put too many onions in the sauce, Kevin!) and perhaps surprisingly, fried catfish, squirrel dumplings and hush puppies. And in that same spirit of cultural integration, we present to you today, dear listener, a superb work of what Scott calls "Hillbilly Crime"! The Newton Boys came out in 1998 and was directed by Richard...

Is it better to be loved, or feared? Here at McWiseguys we really don't care either way, as long as you listen! In this episode, Kevin and Scott delve into Robert de Niro's 1993 directorial debut, "A Bronx Tale", starring Chaz Palminteri and Lilo Brancato, as well as de Niro himself, with a special appearance by Joe Pesci. Sounds good, am I right??? Now yuse can't leave...

Martin f****n' Scorsese and Leo f****n' DiCaprio. We just can't enough of our two favorite Eye-Ties! In this very special episode, Kevin and Scott talk fun coupons, ludes, and - for some reason - The historical inaccuracy of The Revenant. But in between all that, we take a few moments to review 2013's The Wolf of Wall Street. Pick up your ear phones and start listening. And don't stop until you buy our merchandise, or F****N' DIE!!! Ma! We got chicken, or what?!

What does Kevin McQuade look like? He's bald... He has a beard... Does he look like a bitch?!?! Scott says yes, Kevin is undecided at this point. But what they both agree on is how Totally Effing Awesome this movie is. If you've never seen Pulp Fiction, give it a try sometime! Me, I can't usually see it because my girlfriend's a cat, which pretty much makes me a cat, too. And cats don't watch movies. Man..that was f****n' trippy.

Kevin and Scott return once again to the era of Prohibition America, in this dark and moving tale of a father trying to save his son, both literally and metaphorically, from the life of crime he chose long ago. Road to Perdition came out in 2002 and won an Oscar for best cinematography. Was it worth it? You'll have to judge for yourself, but one thing is certain, neither Kevin nor Scott will ever see Heaven! https://teespring.com/stores/mcwiseguys

You goddamn guineas really make us laugh, you know that? First we do you a favor and create a podcast when you're having a bad time, and now you want us to review the Greatest Gangster Film of All Time?!?! Kevin and Scott share their experiences watching and reading The Godfather, it's long lasting effect on Hollywood gangster films, and the cultural impact it made on the world in general. In short, we gave it our all, and hope you enjoy it. Some day, and that day may never come, we'll call...

It's late September and summer's over, but in 1930's Texas, the Heat is on! In today's episode, Kevin and Scott examine the Netflix produced Bonnie and Clyde update, "The Highwaymen". Unlike previous versions of the lawless lover's tale, this film tells the story from the point of view of the men charged with hunting them down. And hunt them they did. With killer performances (pun intended) from Kevin Costner and Woody Harrelson as real life Texas Rangers Frank Hamer and Manny Gault, and a...

Shalom! You think the only wise guys in this f****n' country are Micks and Wops? I got news for ya, Bubbe! The Chosen People got plenty of Matza Balls, too! Thanks to our loyal listener, Patrick, Kevin and Scott were gifted with the recently restored director's cut of Sergio Leone's classic gangster epic, "Once Upon a Time in America". The film chronicles the lives of Jewish hoodlums growing up in the Big Apple. Spanning multiple decades and covering themes of friendship, betrayal, love,...

In this episode, Kevin and Scott return once again to the streets of South Boston to shed some light on a very dark time in the history of Bean Town. Most of the nation learned of the notorious Whitey Bulger when he was finally captured in 2011 after 15 years on the lam, but for the people of Southie, he was always a known quantity. A benefactor to be respected, and a demon to be feared. Equal parts loving son, father, and horrific enforcer of gangland justice, Black Mass takes us inside the...

In this episode, Kevin and Scott take a trip to the West Siiiiiide!!! Specifically, the west side of NYC, in 1990, when it was still (just barely) known as Hell's Kitchen. If you never heard of State of Grace, it's probably because it came out the very same week as Goodfellas (poor bastards). But with an A-list cast, top notch musical score, and gritty New York streets filmed on location, it's sure to become your Movie of the Summer! Or, at the very least, a pleasant surprise. Slainte!

Whoopsie Daisy! Scott and Kevin are back with yet another Marty Scorsese classic! Few natural disasters can compete with the volcanic alacrity that is Daniel Day Lewis playing Bill "The Butcher" Cutting in this tale of New York City street gangs fighting for survival and cultural dominance at the height of the Civil War. It takes a lot of sand to record a podcast about this film, but...that's how you stand up against the rising of the tide.

In this episode, Kevin and Scott go DEEP into Guy Ritchie's "Snatch". Like, all the way in..and then out. And then back in again. But seriously, it's a tight episode, with a shuddering climax. Sit back, relax, and listen. Before, zee Germans arrive!

Happy Memorial Day! Kevin and Scott sit down on this national holiday to review Michael Mann's biopic of national antihero, John Dillinger. Public Enemies came out in 2009 to tepid reviews, but is now enjoying a second wind on Netflix with a whole new audience. Scott takes umbrage with some of the historical inaccuracies, but Kevin's too busy making false genealogical claims to notice. Give it a listen and then meet us at the Biograph Theater to discuss! Kevin will be wearing an orange dress,...

Meanwhile, Scott can't take his eyes off of Sean Penns Jewfro, and Kevin can't walk! He can't hump! Just go ahead and kill him you cock sucker!
