This podcast is amazing I’m a dancer myself and this makes me feel great!

Went for a drive for a day out with my 13yr old daughter and turned on ep4 “Don’t stop me now” featuring her hero Benedicte Bemet only to quickly realise the title was referencing the host’s insistent yabbering about everything and nothing. Please someone stop her now. Such access to these...Read full review »

I’m very sorry but this is very boring

Like everyone else, I agree that not enough time is focused on the fabulous dancers. Their insight impresses me, but they are often distracted or interrupted by the host, who inserts too much of herself into the discussion. A small point, but Amber needs to recognise that going to the ballet for...Read full review »

Accessible, doesn’t assume ballet knowledge and is genuinely interested in the journey of dance and ballet as a soul expression. Was surprised when I went to write a review at previous comments - takes all types! I enjoyed the host asking questions about dancers within the context of their...Read full review »

Amber, I’m sure you are genuinely a very interesting person but this podcast is not about you. I can tell that you are a huge ballet fan, so interested in your subjects and trying to cultivate a sense of easy, natural conversation but that is all lost in translation and what comes across is the...Read full review »

I agree with the other reviews that the host needs to change or at least seriously alter her interview style. I feel like we are only hearing a tiny fragment of what the dancers want to say before they are rudely interrupted by the host. All of the guests are just so eloquent, but they just...Read full review »

I have to stop most episodes and take a deep breath. Amber Petty may think she’s a conversationalist, but she’s actually the worst interviewer I’ve ever heard. She talks too much, she talks over her guests, she thinks she’s just as interesting as her guests and she thinks her “let’s just pretend...Read full review »

She’s so annoying. Tell her to shut up once she’s asked the question and let them answer. Her opinions are so boring and irritating.

Couldn’t agree more with the review left by Clare1901.

Completely agree with all the comments - the host is dreadful and we are not interested in her story or opinions. Ask the question and let these amazing artists answer for themselves!!

I’ve persisted with this podcast because the dancers who are interviewed are really interesting to listen to, but I’m finally giving up because the host is just unbearable! The most recent episode with Benedicte Bemet was excruciating. Every time Benedicte would start to talk Amber would...Read full review »

Wonderful interview with such an amazing woman

GeorgetteH’s review (28/11/18) sums this podcast up perfectly; amazing interview subjects of whom I could listen to for hours, but unfortunately the host is terrible! I can no longer listen to these amazing artists as I am sick of hearing Amber’s pointless tangents and interruptions! Clearly the...Read full review »

I love that we are welcomed into the world of the amazing Australian Ballet artists, the content is so fascinating and I love listening to the wonderful and talented artists and their stories. However, the podcast is infuriating to listen to as Amber Petty is constantly interrupting the artists...Read full review »

I thoroughly enjoy listening to all your guests and hearing them talk about their world. I too would like you to try to stop interrupting.....please try to listen to them without cutting them off. We are all tuning in to hear from these amazing artists and to hopefully get a glimpse of what it’s...Read full review »

I never miss an episode, because the subjects are so fascinating. But please, Amber, stop interrupting the guests and talking over the top of them! It is infuriating!
LAXC via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 10/31/18
The guests are fascinating, it would be great to hear more from them and for the host to let them finish a sentence without butting in to talk about herself. I don’t know who she is, but she mistakenly thinks we’re here to hear about her life, perhaps she should start a separate podcast where she...Read full review »

It’s really interesting hearing from lots of different talents within the Aus Ballet. I just wish the host would stop interrupting them and talking about herself instead of focusing on her guests.

I really enjoyed this podcast series, getting to know the dancers that I adore on stage and hearing how they manage their off stage lives was wonderfully insightful. I especially enjoyed Kevin Jackson’s episode. Would love to hear more from other company members!

My daughter loves ballet and listening to this I feel so inspired I know why.

Fantastic to hear from the creative, passionate souls of the Australian Ballet. Pity the host is so terrible at the interviews and hijacks the discussion by inserting herself into it to no benefit.
Santismum via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 12/13/17
This podcast sounds as beautiful as watching a ballet on stage is. It’s so nice to delve into the inner workings of such creative geniuses (and also to hear that such talented people are actually just human at the end of the day). Just love it!

A fabulous insight into the world of the Australian Ballet and some of its key players. Probably aimed at ballet buffs like myself. Sadly, the flow is constantly ruined by the host, who continually interrupts the speakers to offer totally useless comments - this habit has gotten worse with each...Read full review »

David seems to be a beautiful whimsical person, with so much insight into the design realm of the Australian Ballet. His thoughts on designs and the wardrobe and the dye area would have been so much better accompanied by video. The episode had the potential to be as beautiful as David but it was...Read full review »

Loving the insights on what it takes to bring the magic to stage. And some surprising facts - had no idea some wigs used yak hair!

This is just a beautiful series that is uplifting and inspiring. Loved every second of it

I really enjoyed this! I love the realness and honesty and the genuine feeling that I’m there back stage along with Amber. Being inspired creatively by creative people. Top stuff.
