Blues Brothers and Jesus Christ Superstar are standout entries but it’s always a good time. Hope to see you return with more episodes. The Expanse (particularly once you get up to season 4) would make some great entries, shoutout to Cara Gee’s standout role as Camina Drummer.

A friend recommended this podcast and I absolutely love it! I love scifi and fantasy but I will definitely be approaching the genre differently and paying more attention after listening to Métis in Space! I truly never rate podcasts but not only is this one extremely enjoyable to listen to thanks...Read full review »

They are so funny and relate sci-fi through an indigenous lens that directly relates to far beyond the sci-fi genre, current issues, solidarity, problematic storytelling and so much more. Love these two so so much and everyone should like, subscribe, review, send them some wine, donate, all of...Read full review »

I love the sarcasm combined with genuine love for (some) of the sci fi discussed. Very funny with great analysis.

I think the world of Molly and Chelsea’s hosting dynamic and I adore them. I relate to being a SFF fan, and also recognizing that the genre has a lot of problematic content. The show is very funny and probably responsible for me cracking up in my cubicle several times since I started listening....Read full review »

I just discovered this podcast and am really enjoying it. The hosts explain their analysis well and the basis of their ideas. It seems they’ve stopped producing this podcast, but I highly recommend it anyway.

I’m not the target audience but it was interesting to listen in as they deconstructed an episode of Westworld. The only disconcerting thing was that they didn’t seem to be familiar with the series itself. It’s obvious that they have a solid understanding of the SF field because they picked up...Read full review »

Ānīn. Hello, I just started this podcast. It is so important for me & healing for me to have indigenous media like this. <3 Nimiigwechwindam, I am grateful. ~From this Anishinaabek woman.

This podcast is one of the most hilarious things I’ve ever heard. I was seriously cracking up so much at some points. There’s also some good information in terms of decolonization. I learned so much about indigenous tropes in tv and movies. I’m so thankful for this podcast it’s been a blessing.

I’m in awe! Cracking up, learning a ton, and my list of relevant sci fi to watch/read is stacking up. Thanks so much for the presence and thoughtful/vital critique y’all are offering to the genre/world!

I love this show! Each episode reviews and critiques a sci-fi TV show or movie by its treatment of indigenous characters and tropes. You don't have to watch the episode's subject to enjoy it - Molly and Chelsea are really funny and have great media analysis. As a white person, I have...Read full review »

I’m so happy this podcast exists that I could hug myself. I won’t though. That would be weird. If you enjoy badass femmes deconstructing colonialism then this podcast is for you! And if you don’t enjoy those things you’re probably trash anyways

Smart, nuanced critiques, enthusiastic nerdiness, and genuinely funny hosts—this podcast is some of the best media criticism I have ever heard in a podcast and I love it. (And as a white person, it’s also taught me a lot along the way.) One of my favorite podcasts.

Métis In Space is easily my favourite podcast and I don't even like sci-fi that much! I got into it during the last year of my undergrad in feminist studies during which I had 2 classes on colonialism and it was a fun, relevant and insightful compliment to what I was learning in class. This show is great! Thoughtful and insightful people who bring a rare perspective to SF and media criticism. (I just wish I paid enough attention to contemporary television to understand more than half of their shows.)

Metis in Space is a show that will expand your appreciation of sci-fi. And I mean 'appreciation' like wine-people do: what used to be your house red show on the sy-fy channel will suddenly come alive with zesty rasicm notes and a big nose of colonialism. As a true mark of the Metis'...Read full review »

I love that this is a review show that also tells its own fiction, Chelsea and Molly are so great to listen to whether they’re breaking down what's wrong with a show or giving parenting advice (my favorite unofficial part?) or creating--uh, I mean, relaying--a rad story about themselves in...Read full review »

That reverb though. I get it: you're in space. But my ears are in podcast hell. It's one thing to use an effect for an intro but damn - the whole show? Really?
