So far each of these short episodes has made me laugh. Glad I stumbled upon the podcast.

I'm a huge fan of Michael Spicer & the room next door videos so had high hopes for this podcast. Unfortunately this is a real dud (imo) and having struggled to listen to the very few episodes released, have decided to delete my subscription. Not his finest hour by any stretch of the...Read full review »

A very witty account that satirises those “statue defenders” with obnoxious views by turning that on its head- what if they were fundraising or campaigning to put a new statue up for some historical slave-trader? Excellent work by the talented and very funny Matt Tiller and Michael Spicer

Michael Spicer is very talented. His deadpan style, self-deprecating humour is very good and I look forward to seeing him live

Really enjoying this podcast: so original and very funny. Shame I can’t get anything more than the first episode on Apple Podcasts app so have listened to the rest via Amazon music.

I’m a huge fan of Michael Spicer, this podcast is by far the best comedy to listen to. The sheer level of humorous characters is what keeps me coming back each week!

I’m really enjoying these. Reminds me a bit of Down the Line on Radio 4 - this would fill a half hour comedy slot well - give him a show, BBC!

Such great guests and amazing stories. A little disappointed that Michael Spicer is only briefly in the episodes but still worth a listen! (Excellent podcast and I am aware M.S. is playing the characters.)

Enjoyed it a lot!

Just good fun, a podcast that doesn’t take itself seriously at all!

So spot on I’m sure I’ve seen him in Scarborough.... Linda is the breakout star of this one 😂

Great set up and story telling. Extraordinary stories, really!

I like Michael’s stuff that he’s done on twitter, so I was looking forward to this. But this is awful. Really bad. So unfunny it makes you angry. And I’ve listened to both episodes so far all the way through. I think this officially makes me a sadomasochistic. But yeah, really bad.

Thanks for another chuckle 😃

I have every sympathy with Patrick. It seems every streaming service I’ve looked at has stricken all Blazer Rock music from their archives. Patrick may well have the only remaining evidence of the genre. I very much hope he’s making copies to preserve this genius before it’s lost. Furthermore,...Read full review »

Ridiculous but so plausible, and so many laugh out loud moments - princess in an earthquake, charred wife, Atomic Folder… absolute gold 👍🏻
Tringostarr via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/25/21
It’s not too overblown to be unbelievable, that’s what’s so good about it. Just a strange interview with some lovely sidelines.
PhotoGunn via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/25/21
What this is, is some mildly amusing headlines turned into full stories which are pretty dull.
garypmason via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/25/21
Possibly pedantic of me but when Misty Blue says “you nearly killed me daddy”, Patrick should have pointed out that it was in fact she whole plugged the amplifer in. Biggest laugh: I did a mix tape.

Toe curling tale of an awful man that somehow makes you feel good about yourself. Very funny

Could the funniest - room-next-door - man on Twitter really make the transition to a whole new medium? I was sceptical. So I listened in, lip curled in a giant sneer just waiting for the inevitable bionic fail. But what’s this? My lip is uncurling, involuntary spasms guffaw from my diaphragm. I...Read full review »

Quite silly but clever! Really enjoyed trailer and first episode. Can’t wait to hear more of these true but bizarre stories. Just wish there was more Michael Spicer!

Not surprisingly, the great Michael Spicer is brilliant.

As a fellow fan of blazer rock, I have every sympathy with Patrick Laine.

Great and funny series from Michael Spicer. If you like his off-the-wall short-form skits you’ll love this longer series.
AlsoNotMS via Apple Podcasts · Australia · 05/19/21
It was a little wary in the trailers because this sounded like it could be just the same joke, over and over again. But it’s far, far better than that. It’s clever, inventive, funny and very zeitgeist.

Listen and you’ll understand and laugh a lot.

Marvellous, always thought it was cravat rock but still... You obviously know better than me, the main thing is you saved the vinyl! In years to come I’m sure the girls will come to their senses and realise how important saving (in alphabetical order no less) such a a cultural treasure trove....Read full review »

I went out to walk in the park for an hour and celebrate the first episode of this series which no doubt will be magnificent but once on my way I found this was just a short teaser ;-) So I got some groceries en went back home. Can’t wait for the first full episode to arrive! PS just listened to...Read full review »

Are not what you find in this podcast; but like this review, it’s all made up for the fun of it. MS, as I like to call him, is a genius on many levels, podcasts, stand up, event planning, deep cover investigative journalism, park clean up services. This along with his complete inability to...Read full review »

If the trailer is to be believed, and surely that’s what trailers are for, then this is THE podcast that I’ve been waiting for. What more could one want? Michael Spicer speaking from his own personal experience - it’s moving, it’s touching, and of course it’s hilarious. Definitely a 5 star...Read full review »

It’s fantastic, I’ve not heard a word but from what Michael said it would be like when we were in the slammer together it’ll be brilliant. Just brilliant and fantastic and brilliant
