“Whenever a new episode comes out, it always goes right to the top of my playlist. Minority Korner is absolutely essential listening if you want to expand your knowledge & perspective on both serious and playful topics. As a white bi gal, Minority Korner helped educate me on not only queer & women's issues, but also on issues that are unique to people of color that I was previously unaware of. Nnekay & James are awesome, funny, and relatable hosts. What makes them special is not just their knowledge and humor, but also how genuine they are. Hearing real, unapologetic opinions is one of the aspects of Minority Korner I love the most. If you want to learn more about yourself & others, this is a must-listen.
Note: I saw one reviewer mention that they didn't talk about "both sides" on any topics. Of course not. Nnekay and James are hear to give THEIR knowledge & thoughts, based on THEIR research and experiences. As far as I know, they're not here to give bigoted folks a platform. There are plenty of other podcasts for that. If you felt like you were "missing out" on "the other side", then be thankful that you also get to miss out on the discrimination and prejudice that marginalized groups face all the time. When I'm out in the world, I have to hear that ""other side" all the time.
