“I am always looking for a quality serialized podcast. I come across so many that sound good subject-wise, but when I start to listen I can’t tolerate the host’s voice, or there are 2 hosts and they talk to each other too much, or I just plain don’t like the personality of the host. If I can’t stand listening to the host(s) I don’t care how fascinating the story is I have to turn it off.
I recently did a google search for good serialized podcasts and stumbled across a recommendation for Missing Alissa I thought I’d give it a try while performing the multi-hour task of cleaning out a very big and cluttered closet. So glad I did!
Octavia, the host of Missing Alissa, is not at all irritating voice- or otherwise and seems like a very nice person. Plus the way she pronounce her own name is pretty rad ;). In addition to having a likable host, Missing Alissa is a eminently listenable because of the fascinating story, which is told in a very organized, intelligent way.
5 stars from me for Missing Alissa and am excited to listen to another one of Octavia’s podcasts that is hopefully as good.”
