A fantastic and wonderfully original podcast about UX design. Meaty interviews, meaty content and even more meaty-er guests.

Mixed Methods is phenomenal. Each episode is interesting, insightful and I always learn a bunch! It's produced super well, the guests are truly inspiring, and there's a great variety of topics on offer. Best UX research podcast out there.

Inspiring and interesting topics that are great for anyone working in research roles design and technology teams that compliment the Slack community of the same name.

Great guests, fun to listen to, and easy to follow along. The variety, like the HCI grad school yay or nay all the over to Jared Spool is interesting. The audio is great quality.

As someone new to the UX scene and just entering grad school for HCI, the episode "grad school - yay or nay" was outstanding, and validated my decision. Not only is the podcast excellent, but the >1000 passionate UX people who have joined the Mixed Methods Slack channel is an outstanding resource...Read full review »

This podcast reveals just how much there is to "user research" as a topic. I have been referencing it in talks, meetings, meetups, etc. so other people can find it. Usually most of them already have!

As a UX Researcher, there are very few resources out there dedicated just to research (generally it gets lumped in with UX Design or UX in general), so I’m absolutely loving this podcast. The interviewees are interesting, Aryel guides the conversation in just the right way, and the accompanying...Read full review »

This podcast has really high production values, is a pleasure to listen to, and each episode is incredibly focused and informative. I look forward to listening each time a new one comes. The accompanying Slack team and Q/As also add lots of value to this great production.

I'm a recent listener of Mixed Methods and a UX designer looking to get more familiar with UX research. This podcast is a great resource for me to get insights and hear from those in the industry - I've greatly enjoyed it thus far! I love the interviewees the host gets on the podcast; they are...Read full review »

I don't often listen to "work" related podcasts in my free time, but Mixed Methods is an exception. The conversations are thoughtful and compelling — the last episode about whether or not to grad school felt particularly relevant! Thanks Aryel for the work that you put into this great podcast. I...Read full review »

Usually I notice with a lot of the podcasts I listen to that in the early days of any podcast, there is a super awkward stage and you can tell that certain podcasts haven't quite found their rhythm yet...Mixed Methods on the other hand, has been great from the start. It seems to have skipped the...Read full review »

One of the rare excellent UX podcasts. This blows everything else out of the water- high quality audio and the best of the best interview subjects.

So far this is the only podcast on design that I've really enjoyed! I find many of the others to be pretenious and a bit circle jerk-y and Mixed Methods is like a breath of fresh air. Great conversations between people who give a crap and the content feels meaningful and useful. Yes!

You can tell that the Ayrel has put a lot of time and effort into her question set for the interviewees. Looking forward to more episodes!

As a UX Designer, I almost never listen to industry-focused podcasts because there's This American Life and Gimlet and I love a good podcast escape. What's great about Mixed Methods is that it offers very interesting/practical advice and lacks all pretentious jargon and sentiment. I get excited...Read full review »

Really enjoyed listening to this. I'm a UX Designer in my first year of work trying to figure this thing out.
