We went for a ride with Michael Cassel, producer and CEO of the Michael Cassel Group - the team behind many incredible theatre productions such as Hamilton, The Lion King, Les Miserables and Pricilla Queen of the Desert… just to name a few! Throughout our drive, we discuss the power of dreams and how they shaped his career path- when he applied for his first job at the age of 12. We also chat through the struggles the performing arts industry faced throughout the pandemic, and how he lead and managed an international team of actors and actresses through this by controlling the controllables. Lastly, he shares with us his best advice to help us remove fear and pressure in an audition (job interviews), the dangers of identity and the importance of separating what you do from who you are and your self worth from your job title - a not so easy task when your name is in fact the company name.
