Welcome back to Season 6 of the Momentum Life Project and for the first episode of the new season I have a very special guest who is a great friend of mine and who is the BEST person I know in getting people to change their behaviour. Rebecca McPhee is a dietitcian, nutritionist, health coach and an expert in behaviour change. We first met a number of years ago when we worked together at the same consultancy and have been friends ever since. Bec has worked as both a private practising dietitian, ran a business called the Cultured Nutritionist and has worked in health services in both Australia and the UK and was the chair of the NSW branch of Nutrition Australia I highly recommend you grab a pen and paper for this episode as you will want to take notes! We’re talking about behaviour change - what is it, why it’s so damn hard to do and what tips and tricks you can use to make healthy habits stick. We talk about why dieting is the fastest growing indoor sport in Australia. Why French Cheese is never off the menu. We talk about the biggest roadblocks to modifying behaviour. Why sometimes bad behaviours can be hidden under really positive actions. And we talk about why motivation alone simply isn’t enough. I have seen first hand the results that Bec gets with her approach and I am so excited to be bringing this episode to you None of us are perfect but if we can understand the motivations and the drivers behind our behaviours then we can really start to live our best lives.
