P.Diddy, what are you doing?? Homeland Security was all over his place, which means they have official evidence. How do people think that they are above the law and won't get caught?? S*x trafficking is often carried out by people you know and trust, sold in exchange for money, gifts, or housing, preying on vulnerable people. It's important that we are aware and can talk to our children about it. You can find exactly what to say, how to talk to your children, terminology, and more at...

This is the thing about parenting: you have to do the hard things. You can't just threaten them; you have to follow through. Nat had to put her foot down and make a hard decision, which was not a fan favourite among the people she was with and was encouraged not to make that decision. But the disrespect needed a consequence. How are our kids going to learn if there aren't any consequences? Nobody wanted the consequence, but sometimes there is short-term pain for long-term gain. Want our...

Many parents find themselves in a pattern; they calmly ask their kids to do something and nothing happens. Then they repeat themselves, repeat it again, with one more reminder and then…they blow up. When kids don’t listen, parents often feel the need to take back control and you can almost guarantee that you’ll enter into a power struggle where no one comes out as the winner. In this episode, you’ll learn that misbehaviour is always a symptom of a deeper issue, what causes it, and the...

We covered a lot of ground today! We started with your submissions but kinda went off the rails as usual. From Ritz cruises - which we think we need to go on - to empty nesters, to #tradwives, we covered it all. We're not so sure about this tradwife trend. Many of the women we talk to are doing everything now but not receiving the benefits of being a #tradwife. Check it out and let us know what you think! Want our podcasts sent straight to your phone? If there is one piece of advice for any parent, it is to diversify your child's friend group. Put them on different teams or in different camps. Do not stick with the same kids all year round. This includes boys too. Sh*t goes sideways. If you stick with one group from Kindergarten to Grade 12, there will be issues. You want your child to be able to walk away from an issue if needed. If they have different friends in different groups, they will be able to walk away. Want our podcasts sent...

When our kid has a misstep, rebellion, or mistake, it can feel like we as parents have failed them. Similar to muscle growth, our kids need to tear and repair along their life journey to become more emotionally strong and resilient. We sat down with Michelle Icard, author of 8 Setbacks That Can Make a Child a Success: What to Do and What to Say to Turn “Failures’ into Character-Building Moments, to learn how we can reframe our expectations and help our kids prepare to launch in to the real...

We started this episode saying that we were sick of talking about our kids, but then talked about them the whole time. We are sick of them calling at 3:30:05 when they were supposed to be picked up at 3:30. We are sick of our kids having constant access to us. We are sick of the mental load. We can't wait to watch these little f*ckers grow up. Want our podcasts sent straight to your phone? Text us the word "Podcast" to +1 (917) 540-8715 and we'll text you the new episodes when they're...

During the tween and teen years, our child’s brain enters the second and final massive growth phase of their lifetime. What makes this phase so challenging for both parents and their children is that the teen brain becomes emotionally raw and reactive, and that once bubbly and affectionate child begins to struggle with emotional regulation and wants literally nothing to do with their parents. Parents are left confused and unsure how to navigate the relationship with their teenager. Aly...

Nat's brain is having a moment. She is creating a sexual narrative in her head with multiple characters and is fantasizing about someone we know. Peg Bundy really did us dirty. She always made jokes about wanting to have sex. Where is the tv portrayal of the realistic, "happy family but doesn't want to do have sex all the time"? And not because the female is not attracted to him, but they just don't want to do it that often. We have set up the wrong standards for women. That was a big error.
