Enjoyed very much, Doreen’s sharp memory for the everyday day minutiae over so many decades was what drew me in, Phil’s gentle questions and of course Niamh’s beautiful voice turned me into an insomniac. Doreen reminded me very much of my late British mother in law.

I am really enjoying this podcast. A great insight into the years before I was born and I’m looking forward to the 50s when I’d arrived - also in the north west. A really easy listen and I think would be good for use in schools.

Compulsory listening every Saturday morning. Great recall from someone who lived through a time most of us only gain some understanding through movies. And where can I catch more from that young lady singing As Time Goes By?
