Great Show
Excellent podcast on all manner of monsters. First, the theme music is incredible and I want it to play every time I walk into a room. I especially appreciate that the show occasionally extends into current matters related to the topic. They had a virologist on at the outset of the covid-19 crisis, combatting the monster of ignorance that always leads to violence and harm. Their show on the documentary “we believe in dinosaurs” was also a recent standout. What makes the study of monster compelling is the implication of monsters on the human condition (the book “on monsters” by Stephen Asma is recommended here as well). I discovered this show when I stumbled on their interview with Scott Poole (author of the book Vampira), the quality of that interview sold me and I’ve enjoyed the show ever since, finding plenty of gems. Great podcast, informative and entertaining!! Cheers

Cuts through the hoaxes and hype, and gives excellent scientific information and interviews on zoology and cryptozoology.

The premise is top notch, but the hosts' broadcast presence is worse than a high school effort. There are dead air pauses followed by awkward laughter. Again, the premise and skepticism is great, but the presentation is just awkward.Read full review »
