“Alright- the stories themselves are interesting, and I like hearing about cases I wasn’t as familiar with from across the world. I’m admittedly fascinated by the raw truth and graphic reality of these crimes. However, the writing is god awful. It sounds like a poor fanfic and is so flowery and excessive that it makes it hard to enjoy. I found it interesting enough to suffer through, but what really made me unsubscribe was the aftershow. Hearing the creators blowing up their own egos was so uninteresting. They can respond to criticism about “too edgy” comments because they can discredit them by saying people are too sensitive, but they glaze right over the fact that the writing is what really drives this show into the ground. It made me cringe to hear them talk about how hard they worked knowing that the poor storytelling makes them sound like a blog post on Tumblr by an angsts preteen. It was the writing that frustrated me about this podcast, but it was the aftershow that led me to unsubscribe.”
