Great fun, but...
Having a great time going through earlier episodes. My only complaint, and this is not to be mean, but host Carolina has got almost no pre-nineties movie knowledge going in to each discussion (although she does do some research before each film discussed on the show). I feel this is probably indicative of most younger folks today who aren't going out of their way to watch TCM or the Criterion channel. When Trace and Frank were kids, people were pretty much forced to be exposed to classic films because there were only three channels, and you watched whatever was on. Today's "on-demand-cut the cord" culture means people only watch what they want to watch, and it's more difficult to expand your horizons. Example: During The Night of the Hunter episode, it's apparent that Carolina has no idea who Charles Laughton was. Frank comments "He was great in The Hunchback of Notre Dame" Carolina: "Really? What part did he play?" That said, she's enthusiastic and the discussions are fun. OK, I'm done and I'll go back to yelling at kids to get off my lawn.Read full review »

Just hearing the Trace and Frank talk about movies, brings me back to my childhood watching MST3K

Love listening to these three discuss movies. I don't have the chance to get to the theater to see very many movies these days, so this is how I stay informed. I love bad movies and listening to these three pick 'em apart gives me the warm fuzzies.Read full review »
