Unbelievable resilience from two brave women
You are to be commended Rosie, for the authentic recap of a tumultuous life. Not many women could sustain a happy relationship with their mother, with those dreadful memories. You are so funny and I am saddened at your experience today of “fat shaming”. It has made me think hard on my own judgements. My widowed mum would not let a drop of alcohol into our house as her mother was an alcoholic all her life and not once took her out to a party, on a walk, on a holiday. It was left up to a pretty good father, but he enabled her to drink. These memories and bitter times have tainted our whole family. I wish you and your mum much happiness and a rosy future. 🥰

I've been wanting to read this book for ages but now I get to experience it with mum and daughter critiquing. So far so good. Love the brutal honesty and obvious love these two share despite such difficult circumstances. Thank you for being so honest.Read full review »
