This man's soul is clear and bright. The police have shown how much the respect black life - which is not at all.

It's really amazing how this gets produced from prison. I bet this is the only call Mr. Abu-Jamal makes all week. It must be very satisfying to be able to do this from death row. He's more productive than I am. That's for sure.

Everything here is said to be heard in transition. Before the dawn after the twighlight, with a coffee or a sandwitch. This is what focuses you to take action. The sheltered mind is blown to know where Mumia still is and what he still does. What are you going to do about it? Jamal has some ideas;...Read full review »

Wish the podcasts were longer. A gentleman full of knowledge and wisdom. Great content full of insight and value despite his unfortunate current location.

Mumia is an important voice on Black Power, white supremacy and intersectional capitalist oppression in the heart of Empire. The American 'Left' could learn a great deal from heeding the voices of people like Mumia Abu-Jamal, Angela Davis, Assata Shakur, especially those condemning the Ferguson...Read full review »

Not knowing the first thing about MAJ, I listened to the first podcast. I was blown away. It is fascinating to hear his take on what's happening in the world. Can't say I agree with all of his opinions, but it's a really interesting listen.

It's nice to hear someone with so much insight and intelligence. Despite years of imprisonment Mumia is still relevant and sharp as ever. Thanks for this podcast and stay strong!

Amnesty International agrees he should have a retrial, I'm in. Imprisoned he unabashedly reveals truth, a truth most so called freemen today, would not even dare to give nuance too. He sheds more light on the truth in minutes, then most do in hours, his podcast is eye opening and provokes you to...Read full review »

Mumia is a smart and eloquent speaker. I am so happy that he will not be executed. If only President Obama would pardon him.

The mire fact of circumstances that surround Mr. Freeman is enough for me to declare a demand for Mr. Abu-Jamal's retrial. For him to be retried with the evidence that was left out of his first trial would offer some help towards exoneration. I question the fact of why was Mr. Freeman totally...Read full review »

I have read the evidence of the case, and I have now made up my mind. I don't think he did it. The ballistics test is what sealed it for me. This is an innocent man being held on death row illegally. FREE MUMIA!

Instead of reading the "facts" against him, why don't you read the evidence that supports him? Or better yet, look at the large number of political figures and political icons that support him? I find it sad that even now, with the capabilities we have for researching information on virtually...Read full review »

Everyone should listen to these essays.

Its sad how people are so stuborn about him being guilty. I suppose they feel this way because they don't want the murder of the police officer to go unsolved but they should give this man a second chase to have a non biased jury to prove he is innocent! But away from that this man is a genius...Read full review »

He is locked up and could be put to death for a crime he did not commit, yet he writes so eloquently and to the point (as he must, since I assume he is allowed only so much time to speak to us from prison) and speaks with a beautuful voice of the innumerable injustices ongoing outside.

WHY DO YOU ONLY PUBLISH THE POSITIVE REVIEWS OF THIS MURDERER'S BOOK. iT IS A DISGRACE THAT HE IS GIVEN THIS KIND OF FORUM. ANYONE WHO THINKS HE IS INNOCENT HAS NOT BOTHERED TO READ THE FACT OF THE CASE. HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN PUT TO DEATH YEARS AGO. HOW MANY TRIALS AND APPEALS DOES HE HAVE TO LOSE...Read full review »

Succint and poetic. Mumia expresses opinions many are afraid to express, and some are afraid to hear. He holds no punches, and he is thoughtprovoking. He is an important voice for the many silenced by mainstream media.

Sad
I find it very sad to read some of the responses below that denounce this podcast. I find his insights unbelievalbly moving and true. All of these from a man inside a prison cell. It makes me sad to think that those of us that are "free" are not even able to obtain this active knowledge in our...Read full review »

Whether or not Jamal killed that officer or not, the reviews are intended to be about his work on these essays, which are very good. Jamal is a very intelligent man and expresses his opinions well. 5 stars

It's so sad to see that people have judged this man in their reviews without taking a look at his case. Do not blindly accept what this government tells you as truth. Mumia Abu-Jamal whether you believe him to be innocent or not was NOT given a fair trial as he was rightfully due. If the govt....Read full review »

to those who stumble upon this podcast, don't listen to the insensitive knocks on this work by the equally insentive people who wrote them. Despite the fact that Mumia Abu-Jamal is a resident of death row- albeit controvesially- he is still a fully capable human being, and a very intelligent one...Read full review »

Mumia's commentaries & books are nothing short of inspiring in the face of a 25 year long imprisonment. Mumia Abu-Jamal may prove to be the Nelson Mandella of our times.
