Content is interesting, he’s obtuse.
The concept of the show is great. Mellor, the host and creator, is not. He’s self-admittedly arrogant, tone deaf, and often cuts off his guests while they’re speaking. Additionally, Mellor lacks the proper emotional ability one who hosts a true crime show and interviews guests should have. Again he acknowledges this, but doesn’t seem to put any work into improving or correcting it. That’s a shame because Mellor has the ability to speak to a highly impressive and respected group of guests who bring a lot of insight and perspective to the show—unlike him. I personally never write reviews but this man honestly made my skin crawl while listening to him.

Addiction by definition RUINS your life; can’t throw the term around when you’re referring to habit, tolerance & dependence on meds or other drugs. One can be dependent on , say, on opiates, and it IMPROVES the quality of your life. Love the intellect. Refreshing. Nanagram 70+

I am a scientist so I appreciate the scholarship of the host, the guests and the topics. I like true crime, but am interested in a deeper treatment than just a retelling of the same story. This podcast is fabulous, so glad I found it.
