“I have been listening since 2016. These lads have helped me through breakups, job losses, a pandemic, general ego death.. The Brothers McElroy have been there to catch me at the end of the day!
I’ve listened to every (yes, EVERY) episode multiple times and it’s been such a joy to watch/listen to them grow. MBMBaM will forever be the backdrop of my late 20s, 30s, and hopefully 40s and beyond.
Some folks complain about the ads (it’s a free show, and at least their ads aren’t pre-recorded/repetitive. Sometimes their ads are as funny as the show!!)
Some folks complain about their political or social views.. to which I say.. find another show. Also, anyone who holds these boys against how they spoke in the first 100 episodes, clearly hasn’t followed along for long enough. One of the best things about these dudes is that they hold themselves accountable and call themselves out, and they grow, consistently. They’re humans. They’re our brothers!
And also, some folks will just say these bros aren’t funny. Look. The brothers are pure. They don’t punch down or sideways. They’re silly, genuine, sharp, and welcoming. You might not chomp their flavour right away. But give ‘em a few listens. Before long you’ll be laughing along just like you’re at a loving family dinner table. If you need visuals to catch you up to speed to the McElroy flavour, just search Monster Factory on YouTube.
I owe my life to the McElroys. I wish tu eux visit Canada. One time they referenced my dad’s music as part of a joke and I never recovered. The Brothers McElroy have me fully indoctrinated and I will never go back.
All hail The Munch.”
