“I really want to love this podcast, but my first listen was to the bearberry episode with so much blatant misinformation. I now don’t trust anything said by the host.
1. Bearberry is not a favorite of bears. They eat it in a starvation situation.
2. It is NATIVE to Michigan (not naturalized by people planting it) and has been used by indigenous people basically forever. It grows all over the shorelines of northern Michigan.
The host is pleasant and I wish there were less untruths in the podcast because I think I would really like it. Sad.”
