Love story was unnecessary and hampered the whole thing
The most interesting part of this story is the mind reading and the society rules they have set up around that and yet it’s pushed way to the side for a very forced love story that doesn’t make a lot of sense. Two characters fall in love based on basically nothing and a lot of the story is spent on that. The AI plot feels very done before in other sci fi. It’s an interesting enough listen and the main characters are doing a good job with the voice acting. It had a lot of potential and from reading the reviews it sounds like this may be it? Which if so, is why I pulled another star from the review. If it had another season I would say it’s got good potential and some good ideas and the sound design is well done. If this is actually the ending, it’s closer to a 2, it ends on the most interesting stuff and doesn’t give itself time to get into it.
