As someone who doesn’t know anything about naval history I found this very enjoyable. I appreciated the thoroughness and in depth look at western naval history. I am looking forward for new episodes in the future.

Good podcast. I like history and hadn't ever really thought to look into naval history specifically. This gave me some new perspective on some subjects. Also the latest one pairs well with hardcore history which I listen to. I Wish there were more to listen to!Read full review »

Episode One is one of the best podcasts I have ever listened to. You do not need to know a lot of history or be terribly interested in the subject to spend a fascinating hour. Well done!

Among my podcast subscriptions, this is the one I look forward to most. The amount of historical detail is always great, and Mr. Melton's narration/speaking is perfect. During my Navy enlistment, I wasn't a trader, nor did I crew a trireme (first few podcasts) ... but listening to these...Read full review »

I'm glad I happened to search for a new history podcast (to add to my two dozen or so) today. This is off to a really good start. Something about it I tangibly reminds me of Hardcore History, though with a different tone. I dislike the random background noises added to the track....Read full review »
