“This is by far not as brilliant as the Nuremberg Trials I’m afraid to say. They tried a similar approach with personalized storytelling, and almost fell flat. At times, I felt drowned in details that were barely put in context, jumping from one dot in history to another.
Most unpleasant is the butchering of German names to the point of making them unrecognizable. Add the notorious habit of talking about (or to) “Herr Hitler” who in turn is completely overacted and you feel like stuck in the middle of a play full of Brits impersonating gloomy Germans who all sound borderline silly.
Still and because of the subject I’d recommend listening to this.”
