Great with some serious shortcomings
This is by far not as brilliant as the Nuremberg Trials I’m afraid to say. They tried a similar approach with personalized storytelling, and almost fell flat. At times, I felt drowned in details that were barely put in context, jumping from one dot in history to another. Most unpleasant is the butchering of German names to the point of making them unrecognizable. Add the notorious habit of talking about (or to) “Herr Hitler” who in turn is completely overacted and you feel like stuck in the middle of a play full of Brits impersonating gloomy Germans who all sound borderline silly. Still and because of the subject I’d recommend listening to this.

More reviews of Nazis: The Road to Power
Usual UK trashing of Germany. Hyperbolic, polemical, distortion of facts with badly researched script. Incompetent actors doing comedy voices with cringe accents. Absolute trash.

The guy who plays Hitler really goes for it. I look forward to each episode.

For anyone who has even a cursory knowledge of history, this was the phrase that Hitler used in his rise to power. It is a nationalist saying. This podcast is excellent.
