Learn from Bill Maher: Post the WHOLE Show MSNBC (And Here's $$$ Why)
Memo to MSNBC: Keith Olbermann is great, and I would otherwise be hooked on Countdown, which is a perfect show for someone who has a long commute (even in pure audio) but is too busy to be thethered to the TV set (thus ruling out Tivo as a solution.) Note this: HBO posts the entire episode of "Real Time with Bill Maher" (in audio) a few days after the original broadcast which is awesome on iPod. Why doesn't MSNBC do the same? Why not post Keith's episode maybe a day or two after the original broadcast, so there's still an incentive for real-time viewing (if TV ad dollars is the issue) but you'd still grab the (listeners) via iPod who otherwise will end up just missing the show entirely? I'd even listen through the commercials in audio while driving. A submarket of would-be listeners are not being reached. Previewing just the frustrating 6 minute audio highlights doesn't cause me to say "Wow, I'm stuck in traffic but hopefully I will get home in time to watch Keith tonight", it just causes me to say "Wow, since other shows like Bill Maher are starting to podcast entire episodies, I'll just hunt for other shows that do the same to fill up the time on my iPod commute..." (Don't worry Keith, we still won't put anyone from MSNBC on the Worst Person in the World List...)Read full review »

Some programs warrant ire for their lackadaisacal podcast posting, but not Meet the Press. It's a Sunday morning program that's almost invariably posted on Sunday morning. And it downloads without a hitch every time. Frankly, complaining about the good guys seems counterproductive. If...Read full review »

I like the podcast but it seems natural to include the guests of the show in the information section of each podcast. I never know if I want to download the show. Sometimes I'll give it a shot and find that it's a guest that I don't care to listen to.Read full review »
