Ben and Courtney do great banter
I started listening to "No Challenges Remaining" a couple of months ago, and I'm so glad that I did. Ben Rothenberg (tennis writer for the New York Times) and Courtney Nguyen (tennis writer for Sports Illustrated's Beyond the Baseline blog), the hosts of the podcast, are knowledgeable about tennis and cover a variety of topics in each episode. They provide commentary about aspects of the professional tour to which most tennis fans would not become privy otherwise, conduct interviews with players, and generally keep their listeners updated on all things tennis. They even have special episodes when something really big happens (e.g., the loss of so many seeds in the first week of Wimbledon this year or Marion Bartoli, reigning Wimbledon champion, suddenly announcing her retirement from the sport in Mason, OH). It sounds like Ben and Courtney genuinely like each other and enjoy discussing tennis with each other, which makes the show that much more entertaining. As I listen to each episode, I feel like I'm with two old friends (which makes no sense, as I obviously don't know them). It's a great podcast and my favourite of the few to which I listen regularly. I must admit, the day that Ben and Courtney decide to stop recording episodes will be a sad one for me. (In fact, at the end of July, the NCR Tennis Podcast Twitter account tweeted, "If you haven't yet, listen to Episode 49! A historic entry, it wound up being the end of an NCR era... ," I was terrified that the tweet meant that they were not going to do any more episodes. Thankfully, three days later, a new episode was posted.)Read full review »

Can't get that anywhere else and it gives a depth and perspective to their comments that otherwise would be missing. Been...Read full review »
