Irresponsible. More harmful than helpful.
The Enneagram is a very powerful tool for increasing self awareness, empathy, and personal growth. Misused or abused, it can do a lot of damage. With great power comes great responsibliity and the hosts of this show seem to ignore the responsibility that comes with educating people about the Enneagram. Ranking Enneagram numbers is incredibly irresponsible. Students of the Ennegram understand that no number is better than any other number. The nine types are simply nine different ways of seeing, hearing, feeling, and interacting in the world. Each number has its gift. Each number has its Achilles heal. Typing others is also not something that should be done with the Enneagram. The Enneagram is a journey of self discovery. Individuals need to own their number and journey. Listening to the hosts and guests type others showed how little they understand about the Enneagram. For those who want to understand the Enneagram and want to go on a journey of personal growth, I'd recommend the work of Susan Stabile (The Enneagram Journey, Path Between Us), Ian Cron (Road Back to You, Typology), Richard Rohr, The Liturgist Podcast, or Beatrice Chestnut.Read full review »

...but there is no reason for that to be the case. It’s a pod that strikes a great balance of being light hearted, producing laugh out loud moments, and helping you learn more about yourself. But more to the point, I like it and think other people should like what I like.
