Refreshingly honest and funny. The latest episode regarding Ramadan was enlightening. Growing up in a catholic country, I don’t have much experience of Islam. Or other religions TBH. Maybe some Church of Ireland. but that’s it really. Love the music too. Hello from Dublin :)

Why though? I can’t believe NCFYW has come to and end and I’m pretty sure this is due to the Karen ‘incident’, so depressing, another good thing taken from us! Please Monty and Sadia, take the pod somewhere else, I’m sure many podcast platforms would be happy to have you! Thanks for everything,...Read full review »

Love the chat with the podcast hosts. Nice and informal and they cover some really important topics.

Love that this addresses the real issues that affect young women of colour. Minty is always on point, Sadia however is often uninformed and will ask questions not always relevant and sometimes just restating platitudes. As an Indian woman it’s cringeworthy, in a google age, a quick search would...Read full review »

Great to hear these honest conversations on race in the UK and learning about different people’s experiences.

The ones with Jade from Little Mix and Monty’s family were particularly insightful and honest discussions. You two are doing a fab job!

Listened to the infamous 'Karen' episode. The three women sounded absolutely clueless, saying 'like' every other word and doing that annoying thing where they made a statement, but it sounded like they were asking a question. Sample question: (directed at two white women) was,...Read full review »

No wonder 75% of people want the license fee abolished when utter drivel like this is pumped out. Dangerous. Presenters should be ashamed and investigated for inciting racism.
Lex316 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 07/13/20
This podcast creates a “them and us” approach to racial diversity. Generalisations about white women being inconsiderate to the voices of the black community were in my mind, racist. The fact that this has been commissioned by a public broadcaster beggars belief.
Gordon Winterburn via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 07/07/20
Utter drivel being spouted by ignorant, stupid, pointless racists. Cancel this podcast and sack the whole damn lot of them. The producer should be investigated by the police for inciting racist hatred.

Two seriously talented ladies who deliver excellent content every time these publish a pod.

I worry the topics are going to become too niche if each presenter goes in depth around one specific issue. It’s the dynamic between Sadia and monty which makes this show. Had to turn off mid way through the last ep as it felt really non relatable and just could t get into it. Fingers crossed for...Read full review »

I really do like this podcast and I love what it’s doing for POC. Monty does an amazing job of conversing with the people that come on the show, she is sensitive and emphatic. However, I find Sadia a bit jarring. Her efforts to be controversial and funny come off as highly inappropriate in my...Read full review »

I started listening to this podcast a few months ago and really enjoyed it. But the more I’ve listened the more I’ve begun to dislike Sadia and her “views”. It feels like she’s purposely trying to be disrespect and controversial with her views about the N word and the more recently the...Read full review »

Really enjoy it but would be excellent if it had episode pages with links to things/people etc covered in each Ep for those of us who are listening when we can’t make notes so we can follow up on the things you talk about.

I always burst out in fits of laughter when I listen to this podcast. The only episode that I found questionable is the one with the comedienne and the relevance of the N word. It was uncomfortable and no one talked about it. This could have made some interesting discussion , instead Sadia shut...Read full review »

Don’t usually leave reviews but after ep 10 I feel compelled too. Why would you have a show aimed at being ethnic (read black or asian) in Britain and have a white guest on who uses the N-word in the name of comedy and have Sadia support him? Absolute joke Sadia telling Monty that he was ‘brave’...Read full review »

First time listener, I’ve never been as irritated listening to a podcast. I expected a little bit of nuance when talking about the use of the N word. Maybe talking about power structures!?! Saying everyone is ‘sensitive’ just doesn’t cut it. Really surprised at the level of discussion. Unsubscribed!
