“Boxing has always been my favorite sport, not in an every day manner like baseball, but as far as having the highest peaks. PBC came in.. started throwing a bunch of money around to buy fighters loyalty. Ok, still great talent, less great fights now, wayyy thinner cards, but we still cruising!! DAZN comes in...... starts dumping insane amounts of money on key fighters.. (oil money).. for one year they put on great cards! Every boxer got greedier and greedier, no one would fight each other because they all hoped to fight one of the golden goose fighters where you could get a big payday. Ok. That opened up more avenues for random companies to jump in to fill the gaps . Long story short, the sport is burning in a pile of rubble where a small handful of boxers are preposterously rich and no one under them will fight each other because they are terrified of missing their chance of leeching some of that oil money. The equation is not the same in golf, but it ain't too different. Great podcast, the sport is quickly becoming trash.”Read full review »
